Winthrop Professor Stephen Powles

Professor Powles is the Director of WAHRI and is an international authority of all aspects of herbicide resistance from a basic biochemical understanding of hw plants evolve resistance, through to practical on-farm management.  Professor Powles is equally interested in the generation of new knowledge through to application in cropping systems.  he is one of the world's most highly cited plant scientists (ISI highlycited.com).
