Of the multitude of web pages relating to weed science issues here are a few that are most useful:

The ultimate herbicide resistance information site for those who believe that there are weeds that are immune to herbicides. Has a weed developed resistance to a particular herbicide? Odds are that this site will tell you YES and show you where, when, and how often. Ian Heap keeps this database of resistance development up to date with reports from around the world. http//www.weedscience.com/

One of the best US cropping weed sites we've found on the web comes out of Iowa State University. As well as interesting information on their local weed management the site contains very relevant articles on herbicides and the sustainability of weed management. http//www.weeds.iastate.edu/

For local weed management information, including a handy online version of the Western Weeds book, the WA Plant Protection Society Page can be found at the following Link.

The CRC for Australian Weed Management has major national programs aimed at reducing the risks posed by current weeds and weed incursions in agriculture and the natural environment. Link

If you missed the last Crop Updates, Department of Agriculture has an excellent site containing all the results from the latest in WA weed research. Link

For a more comprehensive list of weed science sites you can visit the Department of Agriculture links page. Link

The Western Australian No-Till Farmers Association (WANTFA) are a farmer group developing sustainable ways of growing healthy, high yield food crops without destroying the soil. For more information visit their web site at : Link

The national Glyphosate Sustainability Working Group is a collaborative initiative involving research, industry and extension representatives with the purpose of promoting the sustainable use of the herbicide glyphosate in Australian agriculture. The group is chaired by Rick Llewellyn and supported by the Weeds CRC. For more information, go to the following link.

Avcare Resistance Management Strategies provide a guide for crop protection product rotation through product groups. The strategies are a useful tool that supports farmers’ adoption of resistance management. For more information go to Avacare website: Link
